Join us on September 9th for a free roundtable discussion on Almost Like We Know with exhibiting artist David Loncle at Snug Harbor's Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art.

The collection of paintings in Almost Like We Know is about a feeling of distance. Artist David Loncle looks at the spaces inside and out of us that form and inform the structures of our living. In an exploration of change and uncertainty, Loncle asks how meaning arises through recognition and the lack thereof. This work seeks to make visible—in some uncertain way—the conventions, questions, and boundaries that define.

David Loncle is a Staten Island native working as an Adjunct Professor at the College of Staten Island teaching studio art and civics. He is a painter, writer, teacher, and gardener.
